Wedding Day ... Bliss

Here are some more Wedding Day pictures for us to remember...
As you can see Mother and Daughter looked great and we really had a wonderful time... It was a day to remember. A spiritual feast, with joy and laughter, family, food, what could be better? I can't think of anything.

Well here we are the newly expanded Bishop Family....
Pretty cool. We welcome Shawn.

.

Dylan and the Boys....

This is what a parent lives for... these little snippits of time where everything is in perfect order

Check it out, here are two very beautiful women. I consider myself to be very fortunate. Again I say "It doesn't get better than this!" What a wonderful day.

If a picture is worth a thousand words... These pictures need no explanation... They very simply speak volumes.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm! Nice....

Wedding Day

Here's how the day begins.

Here's Dylan on the Morning of Friday May 16. We start with getting things loaded and transported over to the recption hall.

It's a busy morning and we all pitch in to help make this a wonderful day.

Me spray painting a bird cage.

Why?

Cuz I was told to.

Here's where the reception was held it was a very nice setting with a comfortable porch and building along with the great outdoor pattio. The flavor was distinctly "Southern" y'all.

Wow Holly, you look fantastic. This may be the first time Holly has ever worn makeup!

Auz and Dylan on the day.... This is Just before we load everyone up and drive about 1/2 hour to the Atlanta Temple.

Looking good kids.

Holly, Jared, Hunter and Marshall = "The Murrays" A great looking family at the Temple waiting for the Bride and Groom to come out "Married".....

Brothers of the Bride... Pretty in Pink?

They looked absoutly fabulous.

A great day continues

Dylan was absoutly glowing with complete happiness. Real joy radiated through her whole soul. This was a fantastic experience for all of us.

There's more to follow here but that's enough for tonight. Thanks for taking the time to read about our going's on..... L8R mb

The trip to Atlanta...

We start this adventure by "Tom Sawyering" Tyler Mysyk into taking Carter, Auz, Nola and I to the airport Saturday am May 10.

This is going to be fun Tyler "Honest"!

The big grin on Tylers face could be because someone just pinched his butt. Hmmmmmm.

We are impressed with Ty. He is a great young man. Ty is now in the MTC in England, and will be away on his Mission for the next 2 years. A genuine good guy, we will miss you Elder Mysyk.

Our next 10 days were spent in Atlanta. We all stayed with the Chaloux Family. When we say "All" that means Holly, Jared, their 2 little ones, Carter, Auz, Nola and I. Yep all 8 of us were invited to stay with the Chaloux's. Their kindness and immense generosity can not be understated. Our “Dylan wedding experience” was significantly enhanced because we all stayed together and could continuously interact, play, plan, eat, swim, and be noisy together, the Chaloux’s, the Murray’s the Bishop’s, and now the Daugherty’s. All under one fantastic roof.

Thank you to Mike, Rhonda, Mattie, and Zach.

The Chaloux Family are whom Dylan (formerly known as DD or D'd or Dot) has been working for and living with for the past bit of time while she has been in the Atlanta area. We are extremely grateful that Mike and Rhonda have enjoyed, tolerated, been blessed by and wondered about this young girl that came into their world as a live in aupere, and who is now a young married woman. Thank you hardly seems sufficient, notwithstanding Thank You, all of you.

We settled into Mike and Rhonda's home by about 10:30 Saturday evening and then got up on Mother's Day and went to Church with Dylan and Shawn and returned to the Chaloux castle to do wedding stuff, and laugh. We visited, and worked a little, played "remember when", talked, did crossword puzzles and went to bed late. This was a great day, it was wonderful to be together, to tease, play, work, chat, and enjoy ourselves in such a comfortable environment. Hmmmmmm, nice.

Carter and Nola became crossword addicts, I've recomended a 12 step program to get them over the aquired addiction to crosswords. That's Holly peaking through the flowers, the silliness was non stop. It was wonderful to be together. Are you sick of hearing that?

Our next adventure was to take in the Atlanta Aquarium. We got up got organized and headed into downtown Atlanta. The Aquarium was absoutly a treat. Here's a bit of a photo essay of our field trip to the Fish Zoo!

Holly smokes this fish zoo is amazing. There were 2 whale sharks along with thousands of fish in the large 'ocean' tank. This is a pretty cool place.

Carter and Hunter hangin'

Yikes Grandma.... this is a little scarry.....

It's late and I'm goin' to bed.... Next group of pictures will be up in the next few days. So stand by for the wedding day shots....

Nauvoo to San Antonio and the trip Home

We were excited to get to Nauvoo, we checked into a hotel and went directly to the Visitors Center.

The first person we saw and talked to is Clark Hardy, Nola's 6th grade teacher from Raymond. Wow, small world. We had a wonderful time in Nauvoo visiting the sites and spending time with the Missionary coupples. Nauvoo seems like it would be a fabulous place to serve as a missionary coupple.

Austin met up with a kindred spirit at one of the historic buildings. This is Thomas Appiah from the Chicago area, very cool young man, they claim to have "Fro Power".

We got a kick out of these signs.
Funny or what?

This picture is taken from the bridge that crosses the Colorado River at a place called Lee's Ferry. Can you imagine the grit that our forefathers had to even consider taking a team of horses or oxen over this terrain? I consider myself to be somewhat hearty and resourcefull. The very thought of negotiating the canyon walls and then crossing the Colorado River here makes me want to cry out loud. How did they do it? Wow, this trip was humbling to consider the fortitude that was required to follow the Prophet and to build settlements across the western USA.

This was a fantastic opportunity to experience some of our early Mormon history and to see first hand some of the phyisical challenges that the early settlers had to endure. Impressive and humbling to say the least. Nola and Auz are troopers, we left San Antonio around 2 pm on Saturday and drove straight through non stop, getting home Monday am. Great trip.
